CADCA's Mid-Year Training Institute
CADCA's Mid-Year Training Institute offers a choice of 1/2-, one- and two-day workshops designed around a specific theme and the four-day National Youth Leadership Initiative. By design, the Mid-Year is an intimate setting to allow for one-on-one personal connections, during courses and networking activities. The 7th Annual Mid-Year Training Institute is scheduled for July 28-31, 2008 in Palm Springs, Calif. More information and registration details, as they become available, can be found under Events on the CADCA Web site.

Regional Trainings
In 2005, CADCA’s National Coalition Institute expanded its regional training programs to include two-day courses in Philadelphia, Houston and San Francisco. The workshops, titled Core Competencies That Lead to Successful and Sustainable Coalitions, are designed to show community coalitions that sustainability is about more than money. The trainings teach the skills essential for community members to manage an effective coalition. The training also enhances the capacity of Weed and Seed sites and Drug-Free Community Grantees to plan and develop programming using SAMHSA's Strategic Prevention Framework.
The regional trainings are open to Drug-Free Communities Support Program grantees, Weed and Seed Program grantees and other anti-drug coalitions. There is no charge for the training program or training materials. Participants are responsible for associated costs such as travel, housing, parking, and meals. Information on dates, locations and registration for 2006 regional training opportunities will be posted here as it becomes available.
