Greenhouse Project

CADCA's National Coalition Institute partnered with SAMHSA/CSAP to develop and implement the Greenhouse Project.  The project is a one-year training initiative that helps local groups develop effective anti-drug coalitions.  Thirty communities with newly developing coalitions have been given an opportunity to explore and learn what makes community coalitions successful in achieving measurable results.

Through the Greenhouse Project, teams of people from coalitions representing economically disadvantaged communities who are interested in working together to achieve the common goals of reducing substance abuse will participate in a series of three free four-day training sessions designed to:

  1. Promote team development and planning concepts
  2. Develop and enhance effective coalition knowledge and practices
  3. Assist communities in moving from the planning stage to full implementation
